"Saturn was an attempt on General Motors behalf to recreate the Japanese manufacturing model in 1990. Its HQ are in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The branch aspired to provide the market with inexpensive yet solid products with a hassle-free buying experience. The Compact S-series started the Saturn family in 1991. A midsize alternative launched in 2000 with he L-Series which then transformed into the L300 in 2004. 2 unsuccessful years later, Saturn discontinues the L300 and replaces it with the Aura in 2007. Expanding into the SUV’s and Roadster market, Saturn has launched the VUE, Relay and Outlook. These are meant to broaden SAtrun’s choices for families that need a roomy van at a low price. The first foray into sports cars was the 2007 Sky which has the potential to appeal to a hipper crowd. Saturn could be classified as an under achieving subsidiary overall. The different models have cultivated loyal followings among target demographics. Nevertheless, Saturns have evolved too slowly for a market that wants more style to go along with the substance. Saturn may reach the end of its orbit in the near future if the reputation of the maker does not resurrect. "
